This client-side mod brings back many visual effects from Minecraft version 1.7 and below. For example, armor will turn red when taking damage, the cooldown animation will be removed from weapons (only the animation, not the cooldown itself), items and weapons in third person view will change position, and you will be able to see the crosshair in third person view, among other things.
