Brutal Nightmare is Minecraft with maximum difficulty turned up. It makes vanilla monsters stronger, not just by increasing their stats, but by giving them new abilities and improving their AI. For example, zombies can place blocks and won’t burn in the sun, creepers will explode even if their target hides behind a wall, skeletons will switch to melee weapons in close combat, and wither skeletons can slow down their target.
