Balanced ore detectors will be introduced in Minecraft. They won’t allow you to scan the entire world or show the coordinates of ores, but they will help you find ores faster by working on the principle of echolocation. When the detector is used on a solid surface, it emits three loud beats that reflect off certain blocks. The volume of the echo and the time it takes to return will depend on the distance to the block.
